Journal Entry #2 (Digital Communication)

1. This isn't really related to the assignment, but i'm surprised by the amount of people who text/go on their phone and drive. I myself see at least 2 people every time I head down the highway. They're always either speeding or going 10 under the speed limit. And they're always swerving.

2.I learned that a sort of email etiquette, I had no idea.

3.Blind carbon copy hides the address of who you sent the email to, so people don't know who else you sent the email to.

Journal #8: Digital Law

1.What I found most surprising about this unit is that a website like NeedHelpNow exists. I had no idea prior.

2.I had some issues finding information for the first assignment, the information was kind of scattered throughout.

3.It is certainly a useful tool, only thing is that it isn't very captivating, I doubt kids would read it of their own volition.

4.I imagine that it would be very helpful, not to mention that it is extremely easy to read.

5.The biggest issue when it comes to Copyright and youths is that they ignore it all together. They don't check things to see if they are copyrighted before using it.

6.The biggest issue with privacy and youths is that they usually ignore it as well, placing all their information online where everyone can see it.

2.Acts that make others unsafe: Extortion-Making a person do something using intimidation or threats such as acts of violence.

Acts that hurt the reputation of another person-Impersonation-Pretending to be someone else for the benefit of you or someone else.

4.The first section, Removing pictures/videos is self-explanatory. It provides several ways to get unwanted media off the internet. You can give the website your information and if your situation is deemed enough by the website that picture will be removed. It also offers additional ways to remove pictures and videos. The second section:Responding to youth signs is a page dedicated to detecting and helping youths who are suicidal. It details the signs, common reasons for the state and ways you can intervene.

5.In the first video I find it interesting how they talk about writing your own story and not letting others do it for you in the shape of bullying and peer pressure.

6.The simplest way to promote an organization such as Change the Conversation is to talk and share it on social media.
